Walk & Talk Occupational Therapy

At Lily Pad Occupational Therapy, we understand that healing and growth don’t always happen best within four walls. Our Walk and Talk Occupational Therapy sessions take therapy outdoors—combining movement, nature, and conversation to support both physical and mental well-being.
These sessions allow clients to engage in therapy while walking at a comfortable pace in a local park or community setting. The natural environment helps reduce stress, boost mood, and promote open conversation, while movement supports physical health, energy, and body awareness.

Who is this for?
Walk and Talk therapy is ideal for individuals who find traditional office-based sessions challenging, or who feel more comfortable connecting and reflecting in nature. Sessions can address a range of goals, such as:
- Managing anxiety, stress, or burnout
- Building confidence and daily structure after injury or illness
- Gradually re-engaging in community participation or return-to-work planning
- Supporting mindfulness, balance, and emotional regulation
Our occupational therapists ensure that every session is safe, personalized, and purposeful, blending therapeutic dialogue with gentle physical activity. Together, we take steps—literally and figuratively—toward meaningful change and improved well-being.
