Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation

At Lily Pad Occupational Therapy, our Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation (CFCE) provides a clear understanding of how cognitive abilities—such as attention, memory, processing speed, and problem-solving—affect a person’s ability to function safely and effectively in daily life or work.

How it Works
This specialized assessment is designed for individuals recovering from brain injury, concussion, mental health conditions, chronic illness, or neurological disorders. Through a combination of standardized cognitive testing, functional task observation, and structured interviews, our occupational therapists evaluate how thinking skills translate into real-world performance.
A CFCE helps identify strengths, challenges, and the supports needed to succeed in daily routines, community engagement, or return-to-work planning. The resulting report offers objective, practical, and evidence-based recommendations for rehabilitation, workplace accommodations, or legal and insurance purposes.
Whether the goal is to understand functional abilities, guide treatment, or inform medical-legal decisions, our CFCEs are conducted with care, precision, and integrity—providing meaningful insight to help each person move forward with confidence.
